Saucony A8 (Women's)

The Saucony Type A8 is a responsive racing shoe that is best used on the road. The shoe is perfect for 5k – 10ks, but it can handle marathons as well. The shoe has an element of protection to it while still being lightweight, so you can keep up your speed.

The midsole of the shoe features Saucony SuperLite (SSL) ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA). This technology provides maximum rebound without adding weight to the shoe. Furthermore, the midsole is durable and the energy return allows you to use the buoyancy for a smoother run.

Many of the updates of the Type A8 came to the upper. The upper is made with engineered mesh and stretches more than previous versions of the shoe. The flexibility allows for a more natural movement as you move through your stride. The upper also has FlexFilm to aid in support. As the laces tighten, the area gets more supportive as it tightens around the foot. The outsole has received updates as well. The shoe has XT-900 carbon rubber for moderate protection in areas that wear down faster. In the forefoot, the outsole has Injection Blown Rubber (IBR+), which is 33 percent more cushioned and lighter than other versions of the shoe.
